FiveM Job Garages & Vehicle Management
Set up job-specific garages with custom vehicle spawns for police cruisers, ambulances, tow trucks, and any other work vehicle. Learn how Jobs Creator makes vehicle management simple.
Why Job Garages Matter
Every roleplay job needs vehicles. Police officers need patrol cars. Paramedics need ambulances. Mechanics need tow trucks. Taxi drivers need, well, taxis. Without a proper garage system, your employees either use personal vehicles (breaking immersion) or you rely on clunky NPC vehicle spawn points that feel outdated.
Jobs Creator includes a job garage system that lets you assign specific vehicles to each job, restrict them by grade, and place garage markers wherever you want on the map â all from the in-game tablet.
How Job Garages Work
A job garage is a special marker that, when accessed by an on-duty employee, presents a list of vehicles they can spawn. The available vehicles depend on:
- The job they belong to â Only vehicles assigned to that specific job appear
- Their grade within the job â Higher grades can access more or better vehicles
- The specific garage â Different garage locations can offer different vehicle lists
When a player spawns a vehicle from a job garage, it appears at the designated spawn point near the garage marker. When they're done, they can return the vehicle at the same location.
Setting Up a Job Garage
Step 1: Add the Garage Marker
- Open the Jobs Creator tablet
- Select the job you want to add a garage to
- Navigate to the Markers tab
- Add a new marker of type Garage
- Set the location â walk to where you want the garage entrance and save the position
Step 2: Configure the Spawn Point
The spawn point is where vehicles actually appear when a player takes one out. It should be:
- On flat ground
- On or near a road
- Away from other objects or markers that might cause collision
- Close to the garage marker but not on top of it
Step 3: Add Vehicles
Configure which vehicles are available at this garage:
- Vehicle model â The GTA V model name (e.g., "police", "police2", "ambulance", "towtruck")
- Vehicle label â The display name the employee sees (e.g., "LSPD Crown Victoria", "Ambulance Type III")
- Grade requirement â The minimum grade needed to access this vehicle
- Vehicle customization â Optional liveries, colors, or modifications
Vehicle Configuration by Job Type
Police Department
A police garage typically offers a range of patrol vehicles based on rank:
- Cadets: Basic marked patrol car (e.g., "police")
- Officers: Standard cruiser with better performance (e.g., "police2")
- Sergeants: Unmarked sedan for detective work (e.g., "police3")
- Lieutenants: SUV for supervisory patrols (e.g., "policet" â the police transporter)
- Chief: High-performance pursuit vehicle or command SUV
Emergency Medical Services
- EMT: Standard ambulance (e.g., "ambulance")
- Paramedic: Fast response SUV
- Head Medic: Helicopter for critical calls (e.g., "polmav" â repurposed as a medical helicopter)
Mechanic / Tow Company
- Trainee: Basic sedan for mobile calls
- Mechanic: Flatbed truck (e.g., "flatbed")
- Senior Mechanic: Tow truck (e.g., "towtruck")
- Owner: Any vehicle for transportation
Taxi / Transportation
- Driver: Standard taxi (e.g., "taxi")
- Senior Driver: Luxury sedan for premium fares
- Manager: SUV for VIP transport
Multiple Garages Per Job
You're not limited to one garage per job. A police department, for example, might have:
- LSPD Central Garage â At Mission Row Police Station with city patrol vehicles
- BCSO Garage â At the Sandy Shores Sheriff Station with off-road vehicles
- Highway Patrol Garage â On the highway with high-speed pursuit vehicles
Each garage can have a different vehicle list, allowing you to spread theme-appropriate vehicles across the map.
Grade-Based Vehicle Access
One of the most powerful features of job garages is grade-based restrictions. This creates natural progression:
- New employees start with basic vehicles
- As they get promoted, better vehicles become available
- Top-rank employees have access to everything
This gives players a tangible reward for earning promotions and adds depth to the job progression system.
Example: Police Vehicle Progression
| Grade | Rank | Vehicles Available |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | Cadet | Marked Patrol Car |
| 1 | Officer | Patrol Car, Charger |
| 2 | Sergeant | All above + Unmarked Sedan |
| 3 | Lieutenant | All above + SUV, Helicopter |
| 4 | Chief | All vehicles |
Integration with Garage Systems
Jobs Creator auto-integrates with popular community garage scripts. This means if your server already uses a third-party garage system, Jobs Creator can work alongside it without conflicts.
The integration can be managed from the tablet's settings panel. If you switch garage scripts, simply update the integration setting â no need to reconfigure all your job garages.
Best Practices for Job Garages
Placement
- Place garages at realistic locations â police cars should come from police stations, ambulances from hospitals, tow trucks from a towing company lot
- Make sure there's enough room to spawn vehicles â avoid tight alleys or indoor locations
- Place the return point near the spawn point so returning vehicles is convenient
Vehicle Lists
- Don't overcrowd the list â 3-6 vehicles per grade tier is plenty. Too many options slow down selection
- Match vehicles to the job theme â A taxi company shouldn't have sports cars (unless you want a premium tier)
- Test every vehicle â Some addon or modded vehicles may have issues. Spawn each one to verify it works properly
Performance
- Job vehicles are spawned on demand â they don't exist in the world until a player takes one out
- When returned, the vehicle is despawned, keeping your server's entity count low
- This is much more efficient than having pre-placed vehicles sitting around all job locations
Troubleshooting
"Vehicle doesn't spawn"
- Verify the vehicle model name is correct (case-sensitive)
- Make sure the spawn point has enough clearance
- Check that the vehicle model exists in your server's streaming resources
"Player can't see certain vehicles"
- Confirm their grade meets the minimum requirement for those vehicles
- Make sure they're on-duty for the correct job
"Vehicle spawns inside a building"
- Move the spawn point coordinates to open ground
- Adjust the heading (rotation) so the vehicle faces the road
